Their are only eight athletes on the U.S. Ski team that were born or live in Vermont. The athletes are; Jimmy Cochran, Nolan Kasper, Ryan Cochran-Siegle, Chelsea Marshall, Robby Kelly, Robert Cone, Libby Gibson, and Brittany Lathrop. Jimmy Cochran and Nolan Kasper are on the A team. Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Chelsea Marshall are on the B team. Robby Kelly is on the C team. Robert Cone, Libby Gibson, and Brittany Lathrop are on the development team.
Jimmy Cochran was born in Burlington Vermont on May 29, 1981. Jimmy started skiing when he was 3. He started Alpine racing when he was 7 years old, at Cochran’s. A small area outside of Burlington. He enrolled at Middlebury College but left after his freshman year in 2002 and enrolled at the University of Vermont. Jimmy made the U.S. Ski Team in 2004, and he has been on the U.S. Alpine Ski team for 9 years. He sponsors are; Volkl, Fischer, Marker, and Swix. Jimmy is sponsored by NASTAR. He now lives in Keene, New Hampshire.

Jimmy Cochran
Nolan Kasper was born in Morristown, New Jersey on March 27, 1989. Nolan now lives in Warren, Vermont. He started skiing when he was 3 years old. Nolan attended Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont, before getting a spot on the U.S. Development Team in 2007. Nolan is going to Dartmouth Collage, he has been on the U.S. Alpine Ski team for 4 years. His sponsors on Rossignol, Lange, Uvex, Swix, and Booster Strap.

Nolan Kasper
Ryan Cochran-Siegle was born in Burlington Vermont on March 27, 1992. He now lives in Starksboro, Vermont. Ryan is cousins with Jimmy Cochran. He started skiing at his family’s Cochran-Siegle ski area in Richmond, Vermont. He went to school at Mt. Abraham Union High School in Bristol, VT. Ryan skis on Rossignol, Shred, and Komperdell. He is also sponsored by T2 and Slopside Syrup. Ryan has been on the U.S. Alpine Ski team for 1 year and made the B team.

Ryan Cochran-Siegle
Chelsea Marshall was born in Randolph, Vermont on August 14, 1986. Chelsea started skiing at Killington Resort in Killington, Vermont. She started skiing by following her brother’s around when she was young trying to keep up. Chelsea went to the Green Mountain Vally School in 2002. She now goes to Westminster College. Chelsea made the U.S. Ski team in 2004, she has been on it for 7 years. Chelsea skis on Heads, Swix, and Uvex, her sponsors are Killington, T2, and Sister Sweet Tooth.

Chelsea Marshall
Robby Kelley was born in Burlington, Vermont on May 26, 1990. He started skiing when he was 2 at Cochran’s Ski Area. Robby is cousins with Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Jimmy Cochran. He went to high school at Mt. Abraham High School in Bristol, VT and in the winter he went to Mt. Mansfield Winter Academy in Stowe so he could ski race. Robby goes to the University of Vermont, and he skis on Head, Shred, and Komperdell. Robby has been on the U.S. Ski team for one year.

Robby Kelley
Robert Cone was born on January 12, 1992. He lives in Killington, Vermont. He grew up skiing on Killington Resort. But then Robert stepped up his game and went to Burke Mountain Academy for high school. Robert goes to Middlebury College but for the 2012 ski season is taking a break and going to be on the U.S. Development Alpine Ski team.

Robert Cone
Libby Gibson was born on December 12, 1994. She lives in Jamaica, Vermont. Libby goes to Stratton Mountain School for high school. For the 2012 season she will be on the U.S. Development Alpine Ski team.

Libby Gibson
Brittany Lathrop was born on March 20, 1995. She lives in South Londonderry, Vermont. Brittany’s dad was on the U.S. Ski team. Now she is following in his path to become a fantastic skier. Her coaches sent Brittany to the U.S. Development Team tryout camp. She showed that she was a great alpine skier and landed a spot on the development team.
